What is MK Youth Council (MKYC)?
- A group of 11-18 year olds, giving a voice to all young people in MK
- The group talks to decision makers
- It aims to improve MK as a place to live for young people
- Contributes to improving services for young people in MK

How can you get involved?
The next opportunity for young people to be elected to become members of MKYC is on the 5 February 2025. These elections will happen through schools, young people will be expect to submit a nomination form by 16 January 2025 (4pm) to be considered for the ballot.
You will need to obtain a nominations pack:
- Your school will be able to issue you with a nominations pack or you can download the nominations pack here.

Complete the manifesto inside the nomination pack. You can receive support in completing this form from your school or by attending manifesto writing workshops at Civic, 1 Saxon Gate East, MK9 3EJ at 5pm to 6pm on 9 December 2024 (Room 1.20) and 8 January 2025 (Room 1.17).

Note: Manifestos must be typed or they will not be accepted. - You will need to ask your teacher to sign your form along with 10 peer signatures (students from your school) and your parent's/guardian's signature to be able to stand for a place on MKYC.
- Completed nomination forms must be handed to the lead teacher (listed in the nomination pack) before the deadline.
