Sheltered Housing Consultation

Share your views on the future of our Sheltered Housing service

What's it all about?

Milton Keynes City Council owns over 10,600 rented properties which include 800 homes for older people, otherwise known as Sheltered Housing.

The last time we reviewed our sheltered housing service was 2017. It is important that we update the services we provide and where necessary make changes to reflect what customers want, new regulatory standards such as Consumer Standards, whilst ensuring value for money.

How to take part?

We would like to listen to your ideas and suggestions first. We will use them to come up with service proposals that we will share and discuss with you.

Part one: Initial feedback (14 October – 10 November )

There were a number of ways residents could contribute to the consultation. They could do it either by completing an online form, by writing to us, or by attending one of the consultation sessions.

What's next?

Between 11 November and 8 December 2024, there will be an interim period of 28 days for collation of information, preparation of proposals and for communication to be sent out regarding second part of the consultation.

Please follow this page for further updates.

Part Two: Options and costs (9 December – 5 January 2025)

Based on the received feedback we will propose available options for any changes to future services and costs.
