Why has my application been rejected

Why would my application be rejected?

If you select to submit your application and you have missed uploading some of the required documents, including the forms that are required such as the income and expenditure or you haven’t included everyone moving with you on the application, the application will then be rejected as incomplete.

How will I know that my application has been rejected?

You will receive an email with a rejection letter to let you know that this has happened. The rejection letter will not list the documents that have been missed, it will just let you know that you will need to reapply and remind you of the documents that are needed.

We do not list the missing documents because any documents that were previously uploaded are no longer visible to the allocations team once the rejection has been done.  If an applicant reapplies and only uploads the documents that were previously missing, their second application would then be rejected, as we would only be able to see the new documents uploaded.  Please ensure you upload all documents to your new application when reapplying.

How does this affect my application?

The rejection does not mean you do not qualify and is not a decision on your housing application. It just means you submitted an incomplete application .

We do understand applying again can be frustrating, but to ensure we are able to process applications as quickly as we possibly can, we do need fully completed applications to be able to do this

Due to applications to the housing register being temporarily suspended, if your application is rejected as incomplete,  you will need reapply after 16th April 2025.
