Local Transport Fund
Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC) has received Local Transport Funds from DfT to support retaining current services due to recent economic pressures and lost patronage. Funding has been used to support Via for delivery of MK Connect and to provide short term support for Arriva Services 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7, the Stagecoach 41 and the Red Rose 21

Bus Services Operators Grant
MKCC received Bus Service Operator Grant funding for 22/23 of which £312k is being used to purchase 50 additional e-ink real time displays as part of the ongoing improvements to bus information.

Enhanced Partnership Plan and schemes
23 March 2021 Notice was given by MKCC of its intention to prepare an Enhanced Partnership.
The partnership was completed in April 2022 and is now being reviewed and updated in cooperation with local operators.
The Bus Service Improvement Plan sits under the EP and details the aspirations of MKCC and partners regarding public transport.

Additional BSIP+ funding has been identified and MKCC are preparing proposals to submit to DfT to secure this funding.
