Community Right to Bid
The Community Right to Bid provisions came into force on 21 September 2012.
The provisions give local community groups such as parish and town councils, charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises a right to nominate a building or other land for listing by Milton Keynes City Council as an Asset of Community Value.
When a listed asset is to be sold, incorporated local community groups will have a chance to make a bid and buy it on the open market.
Read the detailed guidance and information and useful links on Community Right to Bid for Assets of Community Value.
You can nominate an Asset of Community Value, using the nomination form here. Please read the guidance above before completing the nomination form.
We have also developed a simple Community Right to Bid leaflet to help you through the process.
In addition we have produced two simple flow charts
