Central Digital Platform

What is the Central Digital Platform – The CDP?

The Procurement Act 2023 legislates for provision of a central digital platform to facilitate the publishing of required notices and documents in accordance with the new regulations. This is where we, Milton Keynes City Council, will publish information relating to our procurement activity.

What does this mean for suppliers?

The CDP is the place for suppliers to find out what opportunities are coming along that you might wish to bid for, as well as details on contracts that we awarded, how contracts are being changed and other useful information. Additionally, suppliers will use the central digital platform to register, input and then share commonly used information as part of any procurement we do.

You must be registered on the CDP to bid for any of our opportunities.

If you are not registered, you will not be able to bid.

What information will you need to provide?

You will be required to submit your core business information which can then be shared across multiple bids and Local Authorities. This includes business information and records of accreditations and financial information. Depending on the structure of your business, this also includes information such as connected persons. You will also need to declare accuracy of this information. The good news is that once this is completed it will be simple to review it and re-use it every time for each tender.

  • Basic information: Name, address, Companies House number (or equivalent, e.g. Charity number), VAT Number (if applicable), relevant qualifications or trade assurances and whether the organisation is a SME, VCSE or public mutual.
  • Financial Information - Copies of your accounts from the most recent financial years. Connected Persons: Names, addresses and details on any connected persons to the business (e.g. persons with significant control). These are individuals or organisations who have influence or control over the supplier.
  • Exclusions: Details of any discretionary or mandatory exclusions for the supplier or connected persons as set out in schedules 6 & 7 of the Procurement Act 2023

How will you complete a bid?

There won't be any change to the way in which you submit a bid to our opportunities. It will still be via our E-tendering platform.

Who can see the information you enter in to the CDP? The information that you provide will be shared only with the contracting authority you choose to share with. As part of your registration, you will get a share code that when you wish to bid for one of our contracts you input into our E-Tendering portal as part of that process.

Does my registration on Find a Tender automatically move me over?

No, you must re-register on the CDP and enter your organisation information.
