The previous scheme of Councillors allowances for Milton Keynes Council and for its Parishes expired at the end of March 2022.  In October 2021 an Independent Remuneration Panel (IRP), was formed which, after considering a range of information, made recommendations as to the scheme that should be adopted.

Milton Keynes Council considered the recommendations of the IRP at its meeting on the 19 January 2022. and adopted a revised Scheme of Allowances.
