Sex Education Forum
Working together to achieve quality sex and relationships education.
Established in 1987, the Sex Education Forum (SEF) works with its members and other stakeholders to ensure that all children in England receive quality sex and relationships education (SRE).
SEF advocates and campaigns to ensure children and young people's entitlement to SRE is firmly embedded into national and local government policies and public understanding.
It also supports professionals to access and share information so they are well informed and competent to commission, plan, deliver, evaluate and research SRE.
SEF's work is underpinned by evidence, a rights-based approach and the expressed needs of children and young people.
The Sex Education Forum is coordinated by Lucy Emmerson.
