ESWT (Emergency Social Work Team)

This service serves the Council's statutory obligation to provide an out of hours service for children and families in Milton Keynes.

A qualified Social Worker is available to respond to families and professionals enquiries, providing information, advice and guidance outside of normal office hours.

The Family Assessment and Support Team (FAST) supports ESWT during evenings and weekends and are available to undertake welfare checks at the request of the allocated Social Worker and also respond to crisis when required.

What is ESWT?

The Emergency Social Work Team (ESWT) delivers Milton Keynes Council's statutory obligation to provide an out of hours service for children and young people in need, or those at risk of significant harm.



What we do?

We provide essential information, advice, guidance and support to families, foster carers and professionals including the Police and Health Services.



What is an emergency?

An emergency is something that requires immediate action and cannot safely wait until the next working day.
