The consultation on the draft Milton Keynes City Plan 2050 has now closed, with the final exhibition event held at Wavendon Community Hub on Friday 27 September 2024.
We held thirteen drop-in consultation events during August/September 2024, with exhibition material having been made available on our website.
What did the community events cover?
The events were intended to provide attendees with the opportunity to find out more about the new Local Plan and the process so that they could tell us what they thought, ask questions and leave feedback.
The events explained what a Local Plan is, what stage we were at, and when we will go out to formal public consultation.
Whilst explaining the process, we also asked to hear peoples' likes and dislikes about where they live and their aspirations for the city over the next 25 years on matters such as the environment, future needs for local housing, jobs, green spaces, and existing and new infrastructure etc. This process is all about planning for the future and addressing the issues of the present.
