The Topic Papers dealt with the Council’s case in respect of all the representations made on a particular topic, setting the scene for the issues debated at the Public Examination.
The deadline for responses to the Topic Papers was Friday 14 September 2007.
Representations to the Waste Development Plan Document Submission
The documents below are the Statement of Consultation, issued under Regulation 31 and the Milton Keynes Council Soundness Self Assessment. A summary of the representations to the Waste DPD can be found in appendix 3 of the Regulation 31 statement.
Milton Keynes Council Soundness Self Assessment
Omission Site
A representation was received that suggested an alternative Strategic Waste Site to those in the Submission version of the Waste DPD. A Strategic Waste Site is a site which is suitable for a waste management facility for final treatment. It can also include other waste facilities such as a vehicle depot or waste transfer station. The omission was subject to a public consultation, which ended on 15 August 2007. For more details or a site plan visit the Omission site.
5. Pre-examination meeting (PEM)
The pre-examination meeting for the Milton Keynes Waste Development Plan was held on the 18 July 2007.
The purpose of the meeting was to outline and discuss the procedural and administrative matters relating to the management of the Examination. The content of the Waste DPD and the representations made were not discussed.
