Nick Oleary (Personal Assistant)
PA Profile - experience and skills:
Hello I'm Nick and live in Potterspury, originally from Luton I moved here in the eighties. I'm married and have two grown up sons. I enjoy eating out and my favourite holiday destination are the Greek islands.
I have worked for Milton Keynes Council since 2010 where I have gained a vast amount of experience with working with Adults with disabilities. I have also worked for Fremantle Trust part-time around my fill time job this ended after 10 brilliant years. My current full time job is supporting People with Learning disabilities into employment for this role I engage with many people and agencies at all levels, people referred to the team I work in have many forms of disabilities yet all have the same goal and this being getting a job.
I have undergone lots of training to make me have a better understanding of people with all different kinds of disabilities. I enjoy a hands on approach with my job. I listen to what the person would like to do making it very person centred I then with further details try and make this happen for the individual.
I am a confident person who will go that extra mile to make something that seems impossible become reality. I have gained experience and made many contacts from my full time job. I remain calm even when under pressure, very easy going, people say I'm a joker and that I'm extremely friendly, I have a very patient temperament, and able to communicate all levels. I always put the safety of the person first when supporting them what ever I do.
I love most sport, I enjoy watching live football I support and follow Luton Town up and down the country but also attend other teams when time allows, I play Pool and Snooker to a very good standard. I like music as well as film and theatre, I want to offer something that other PAs maybe can't. I'm willing to travel to make this possible.
Please contact me for a friendly meeting to see if I can help you achieve your recreational ambitions.
