Milton Keynes City Council is planning to continue funding a service which helps residents to access specialist sexual health support.

The Integrated Contraception and Sexual Health Service (iCaSH) is delivered for the City Council by Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust.  As well as providing contraception, the specialist team are there for expert, confidential guidance around the prevention, diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted infections plus wider sexual health, sex and relationship advice.

iCaSH operates a clinic in the city centre as well as online services and outreach in the local community.

A decision to extend the service for a further two years from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2027 is set for 21 January.

“Sexual health is something that impacts everyone and it’s important that we protect access to confidential, specialist support for residents. We’ve had really positive feedback from people who have used the service, and uptake of HIV testing and contraception is increasing in the local community.”
- Councillor Donna Fuller, Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Health & Communities
