MK Council has launched a new Planning Academy to attract the best and brightest planners to come and work in one of the fastest growing cities in the UK.
With major projects already underway including Santander’s flagship HQ building and the 14-storey Hotel La Tour in Central Milton Keynes, graduates that enrol onto the academy will get insight into some of the most exciting developments in the country.
The academy is an intensive programme led by the council’s award-winning planning department to help graduates kick-start their careers. Graduates will gain invaluable experience and will be supported to undertake a Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) accredited postgraduate degree followed by an End-point assessment (EPA) that leads to becoming a Chartered Town Planner with MRTPI status.
There are three spaces available for the three-year programme which will cover a range of teams including urban design, conservation and landscape architecture as well as the core planning services. There will also be an option to join an external organisation for a placement.
Applications must be submitted by 19 June. Further details about the academy and how to apply can be found here.
