How safe is it?

Midsummer Festival is a family-friendly, free event and will have both a security and stewarding presence for the duration.

What amenities are on site?

The Festival site will have toilet facilities including accessible toilets and baby-change area. Seating, shade and areas to relax form part of the Festival’s offer. A fantastic array of street-food including two bars will be on-site for the duration.

Are there road closures and can I park my car easily?

The Festival will take place on Midsummer Boulevard itself and we will be closing the road between 6am and midnight on Sunday 23 June. The map shows the location of the road closure. During this period, parking bays will also be suspended in this area. However, there will be plenty of parking adjacent to the Festival site and the multi-storey car park will remain open throughout.

What about public transport

Due to the road closures in place, all bus stops(B3-E3 and B4 – E4) in the Theatre District will be closed for the day. All buses will leave from bus stops located at The Point. These will be clearly signposted in advance and on the day.

Do I need to worry about the weather?

We are hoping for a very sunny day! However, if the rain pays us a visit we have made plans for covered areas so you can shelter from the rain. The programme will proceed as planned though maybe subject to timing changes.
