What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a way of studying towards a formal qualification while working. They are offered to employees aged 16 upwards with no upper age limit. So, you can earn while you learn.
Why Milton Keynes Council?
The apprenticeship programme at the Council offers a range of exciting opportunities to develop your career and life skills. Our Apprenticeships are open to all ages from 16+, whether you are a school leaver, looking to re-train or get back to work following a career break- we offer entry-level apprenticeships at level 2 and 3 to Masters level Apprenticeships at Level 7.
Your training will be delivered by an approved Apprenticeship Training Provider, chosen for their exceptional quality and commitment to learner achievement. You will be assigned 20% of your time at work to dedicate to your training and there will be regular opportunities to review your progress with your mentor and Training Provider.

Entry Level
Our entry-level apprenticeships focus on the development of professional and transferable skills and provide an excellent platform to develop a career within Milton Keynes Council.
Candidates returning to work, career change or retraining
There are opportunities for applicants who are looking to re-train or return to work after a career break. Opportunities include Apprenticeship Programmes at Further or Higher Education level, Levels 4 to 7 developing your current skills set into an alternative direction.
