Route 162 and 171 – High Street Newport Pagnell and Station Road
Improves walking and cycling connectivity to the Town Centre, connecting Marsh End Road Redway to the High Street
Improves and upgrades crossing points giving priority to people on the Redway
Weight and size restrictions on vehicles except deliveries and buses to remove some of the larger vehicles travelling through the High Street
Option A:
3m shared use Redway along the High Street from Marsh End Road to Queens Avenue
'Destination cycle' parking facilities at the end of the Redway, entrance to Town centre - covered and secure cycle parking, tool station, pump, Town / facilities Map and Events list. Dropped kerbs to rejoin the road
Advisory cycle lanes on the road from Queens Avenue and along the High Street and Union Street to encourage cycling on the road, low speeds and considerate cycling and driving
Option B:
3m Redway along Station Road connecting to the High Street
'Destination’ cycle parking facilities at the end of the Redway, entrance to Town centre - covered and secure cycle parking, tool station, pump, Town / facilities Map and Events list. Dropped kerbs to rejoin the road
Route 164 – Railway Walk, Newport Pagnell
Improves the Railway Walk to make it more attractive and pleasant for everyone that uses it
Junction priorities and improved wayfinding (these have recently been installed)
Improve accessibility at Shepherds Close – bollards and barriers review or removal
Option A:
5m segregated Redway 2m footway and 3m cycleway providing separate space for people walking and cycling
Option B:
Improves the existing Redway route by resurfacing the existing Redway and cutting back vegetation
