MK Connect is not part of the English National Concessionary Scheme and Milton Keynes City Council has been subsidising the cost of these trips, MKCC will continue to partially support the cost of ENCTS trips, after recent consultation on future pricing, there was overwhelming support for a £1.50 charge to use the MK Connect service.

MK Connect

MK Connect is the biggest transport project of its type in the UK. We introduced MK Connect as an affordable service for people who are not served by a bus route, or for when other choices like cycling are not an option.

You can book an MK Connect vehicle when you’re ready to travel, and unlike an immediate door-to-door taxi you may be sharing it with other people heading the same way. There will likely be a short wait just like at a bus stop. Most people wait around half an hour, though it can be longer.

The easiest way to book is by the MK Connect smartphone app, which you can download from your preferred app store. If you don’t have a smartphone or need extra help, our customer service team can make the booking for you.  If you do have the app, you can track vehicle progress in real time.

MK Connect vehicles run:

  • 6:00am – 10:00pm Monday to Saturday
  • 9:00am – 6:00pm Sunday
  • 9:00am – 6:00pm public holidays except Easter Sunday and Christmas Day (no service)

Payment can be made with debit/credit card via the app. Concessionary passes under the ENCTS scheme are valid for free travel after 9:30am on weekdays and all day at weekends. Period passes are not currently accepted.
