The proposed zebra crossing comes as a result of safety concerns raised by residents and councillors over the informal crossing facility at this location.  The zebra crossing will formalise the crossing point and make it safer for pedestrians to cross the road. 

The zebra crossing will encourage and facilitate safer pedestrian movements on Countess Way.
