Consultation

The Site Allocations Plan is being prepared to support the delivery of the housing target in the 2013 Core Strategy, and to ensure that the Council has enough land allocated in the short- to medium-term to demonstrate a five year supply of deliverable housing sites.

A document concerning initial issues and options for this process was approved by Cabinet on 23rd July and is now available for public consultation. At this early stage we’re seeking views on:

  • the amount of land we should be allocating
  • the split of development across the rural area
  • the method we propose to use to assess sites
  • the suitability of certain small-medium sized sites that have already been put forward to us for consideration; and
  • whether there are any alternative small-medium sized sites that we should be considering
