Consultation
The six flat-top humps will be positioned along Crossley Drive in Magna Park as follows:
1) From a point 49 metres south-west of the centreline of its junction with Atkinson Way, for 4.5 metres in a south-westerly direction.
2) From a point 76 metres north-east of the centreline of its junction with Atkinson Way, for 4.5 metres in a north-easterly direction.
3) From a point 178 metres north-east of the centreline of its junction with Atkinson Way, for 4.5 metres in a north-easterly direction.
4) From a point 282 metres north-east of the centreline of its junction with Atkinson Way, for 4.5 metres in a north-easterly direction.
5) From a point 385 metres north-east of the centreline of its junction with Atkinson Way, for 4.5 metres in a north-easterly direction.
6) From a point 520 metres north-east of the centreline of its junction with Atkinson Way, for 4.5 metres in a north-easterly direction.
The speed humps will extend across the entire width of the carriageway whilst maintaining a 300mm gap between the hump and the kerb line.
The Councils reason for introducing the above traffic calming measures comes as a result of improving road safety along the affected length of road.
The introduction of the traffic calming measures will help to reduce vehicular speeds Crossley Drive, Magna Park, which will encourage and facilitate safe pedestrian and cyclist movements.
The Council considers it expedient to introduce the traffic calming measures:

to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of pedestrians and cyclists on Crossley Drive;

for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
