Following approval at Cabinet on 23rd July, the Draft Minerals Local Plan is about to be published for a twelve-week consultation period, running between Wednesday 13th August and Wednesday 5th November 2014.

The consultation on the Draft Plan is the next key stage in the preparation of a new Minerals Local Plan for the Borough, and the first where an actual "Local Plan" document is produced. The Draft Plan stage is a key time to make comments on the acceptability of identified sites (as well as the last opportunity to put new sites forward for consideration).

Officers will be holding drop-in sessions for residents and Parish Councils in those areas that may be most affected by the emerging Plan.
