Consultation
Milton Keynes City Council has published its draft budget for the 2025/26 financial year for consultation.
The draft proposals require around £20m of spending reductions, services changes and additional income required to set a balanced budget. The vast majority of the savings required are due to higher levels of demand and cost pressures in children’s services and adult social care.

Before the final budget is published, an Equality Impact Assessment will review the potential effects of proposed budget changes on different community groups, assessing 12 key pressures and nine savings proposals to ensure they do not disproportionately affect people with protected characteristics.
