Newport Pagnell Neighbourhood Plan

A Referendum relating to the adoption of the Newport Pagnell Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday, 17 October 2024

The question asked in the Referendum was:

'Do you want Milton Keynes City Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Newport Pagnell to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?'

The Referendum area is identified on the map within the Information Statement. This is the same as the designated Neighbourhood Plan area for Newport Pagnell.

Residential Referendum

A person was entitled to vote in the Residential Referendum if, on 17 October 2024:

• he or she is entitled to vote in a local government election in the referendum area and
• his or her qualifying address for the election is in the Referendum area. A person’s qualifying address is, in relation to a person registered in the register of electors, the address in respect of which he or she is entitled to be so registered. 

Referendum expenses

The referendum expenses limit that will apply to this Referendum is £3,045.63.

The referendum will be conducted in accordance with procedures which are similar to those used at local government elections.

Parish Notices of vacancy

Vacancies that occur in parishes during the four-year term of office have to be advertised within the parish for 14 working days. Below is a list of the current Notices that Milton Keynes City Council have been made aware of. Ten electors of the parish may request to fill a parish vacancy by election if they make the request in writing, before the expiry date listed below, to the Returning Officer:
