Milton Keynes City Council is recognising local businesses who are committed to the goal of reaching Net Zero by 2030. If your business has a Net Zero target for 2030 and would like to receive our MK Net Zero 2030 Business Accreditation, please check that you meet the below criteria and email : carbon@milton-keynes.gov.uk.

Criteria for provisional accreditation:

• Have a corporately agreed upon Net Zero 2030 target for your business.
• Pledge to create an action plan to reach the Net Zero 2030 target within 12 months of receiving provisional accreditation.
• Pledge to set up a baseline and measure your businesses scope 1 and 2 emissions annually within 12 months of receiving provisional accreditation.

We will work with you on your pathway to full accreditation to understand how we can best support and recognise your business in its aims for becoming NetZero in 2030.

Criteria for full accreditation:

• Have a corporately agreed upon Net Zero 2030 target for your business.
• Have an action plan depicting how your business will achieve the Net Zero 2030 target
• Have an emissions baseline and measure your business’ scope 1 and 2 emissions annually.

Once full accreditation is granted, annual checks will be completed to check that your business is working towards your target.
